Breitling launched the Chronomat in 1984 to mark its centenary, developed with the Frecce Tricolori, the Italian Air Force aerobatic team, and it quickly became the brand’s signature sports chronograph. The Super Chronomat B01 44, reference UB0136251L1S1, carries that legacy into a bolder modern design, pairing a 44 mm stainless steel case with an 18k red gold bezel set with a black ceramic insert and the collection’s signature rider tabs at 15, 30 and 45. The vivid green sunburst dial is framed by an inner tachymeter scale and features contrasting anthracite sub-dials, luminous gold-tone hands and indexes, and a date window at 6 o’clock. At its heart beats the Breitling Manufacture Calibre 01, a COSC-certified self-winding chronograph movement with a power reserve of approximately 70 hours. The watch is water-resistant to 200 metres and is fitted on a black rubber strap in a textured Rouleaux pattern that echoes the Chronomat’s iconic bracelet. It’s a statement chronograph that blends sporting heritage with the warmth of red gold.
